Who We Are

Wellness Central is a California Nonprofit Corporation based in Petaluma, in the North Bay Area.  Our mission statement is whole-person wellness.  Our motto is, "Reaching the Whole Person."  This objective is illustrated by our logo, shown at top left.  The first level is the foundation of physical health.  Building on that foundation, we achieve mental and emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing,

What We Do

We provide a unique and effective array of services to  Bay Area communities.  These services address the components of whole-person wellness.  They include health and wellness seminars, weekly vegan dinners and personal mentoring and instruction.   These services are described in more detail on the following pages.  The schedule of events may be found on the 'Calendar' page.

Personnel

Our weekly dinners and scheduled cooking classes are designed and presented by Patricia Allen Koot, N.E.  Patricia is a certified nutrition educator.  She graduated from Baumann College in Penngrove.  Patricia has developed an outstanding reputation as a vegan chef and presenter in the Bay Area.

The Executive Director of Wellness Central is David F. Koot.  David has over twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector.  He organizes and coordinates presenters from the professional community, and wellness events.  In addition, he teaches classes on communication and conflict avoidance, stress reduction and other topics.

Your Choice!

We are here to serve the community.  Please take a look at the 'Your Choice' page and select any of the events you would find interesting.  We schedule presentations largely on the basis of interest expressed.  Your input would be very helpful in guiding us as we plan events for your community.

Funding

Wellness Central has no government or corporate funding.  We are funded entirely by private donations.  If you would like to help support the community work of Wellness Central, we would be most appreciative.  Your contribution would be 100% tax deductible.  You will receive a receipt for your taxes, and a newsletter about the activities of Wellness Central.  Please see the 'Help Us Help Your Community' page.
